HomeoftheHandmade.com was the creation of the Connor family who saw that there was the need for a UK based handmade online marketplace which deals in pound sterling and pennies, is advertised to the buyers of handmade arts and crafts not just artists and crafters and is very affordable.

HomeoftheHandmade.com is an Essex based family run business. The Connor family all have roots in arts and crafts and because of their own experience, they know the needs of crafters. Through sheer hard work from the HomeoftheHandmade.com team the site has grown into what it is today and continues to grow. Very Affordable

Listings start at only 20p for a 6 month listing. No percentage is taken when the item is sold giving you the full and deserved price.
After all, we are already getting your listing fee so why should we take more of your hard earned money?

Handmade greeting cards are normally sold for a very reasonable price. Therefore it's only 5p to list a handmade greeting card for 6 month.

Also, all extras for your listing (such as featured ad, highlighting your ad etc) are set at a reasonable rate. We are already getting your 20p for a listing so anything extra is a bonus to us. Therefore, rather than be greedy we have set them all to fair prices. Keep an eye on the extra's as you place a listing.

Advertising for you

We aim most of our advertising at buyers of Handmade items, your customers.

Among many others places and sites, we advertise for you on Facebook. Facebook has over 7,500,000 UK members (figures from March 2008) of all ages. This has been very successful and we want you to gain from it.

But the most successful advertising we do is to run stalls at Craft fairs, markets, events etc. This allows us to talk directly to buyers of Arts and Crafts. As we cannot talk about every crafter on our store, we have a video which is showned on the stall advertising every store/seller we have on the site. We aim to do 1 event a week.
